My acquittal rates and the great deals I get in plea bargains. Also, with 25 yrs. of experience I am respected by prosecutors and judges in a way a younger lawyer isn't. A lot of lawyers claim to be tough and I am with prosecutors just the way I was with other fighters when I fought in the cage. (MMA) The fact that I am able to help people of color and others who have been mistreated for so long and give them representation they thought was only for rich people. I take every case personally and do not like to lose. In addition, I have been told by clients, judges and prosecutors that I am great in front of a crowd while and arguing.

From the first day I searched for an attorney to the final court appearance, Nick was responsive to the needs of myself and my son. He gave sound advice, asked detail questions, and kept on top of all aspects of the case. My son was a juvenile at the time of the arrest and a felony conviction could have turned his young adult life in a totally different direction. My son was in a very dark place in his life due to the unexpected death of his father. Nick had us do all the right things. My son ended up with a stay of adjudication, probation, and community service.

Nick is a great attorney. He is just like Perry Mason. He really cares about his clients and will fight for you. I hired him for a case that lasted almost three years. He fought until the end. He met with me alot more during this time them other attorneys without having to pay more money. I was charged with two very serious felony counts that could have put me in prison from 20-40 years. He proved my innocence through great detective work and the best trial work I have ever seen in real life and not on tv. Hire Nick, he is not like any attorney you have ever met or heard about. There isn't any better heart and fight than Nick.

I Knew with the very first phone call that Nick Gegan was the Attorney I had been searching for & greatly needed. With sincerity, attention & patience he inquired about my charges in detail & more thorough than any other attorney I have ever spoke with. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every good criminal defense lawyer charges a flat fee not an hourly rate. Every case may be different as it relates to pricing. If a case is going to proceed to an actual trial that case becomes more expensive.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took the bar exam in 1990 and passed it on the first try. I grew up in St. Paul and so had street smarts to begin with. Before I became a lawyer I was a salesman and sales is definitely part of being a good Criminal Defense Lawyer.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I drove my car through a Kentucky Fried Chicken parking lot years ago and hit one of their curbs which was hidden by snow. This caused great damage to my car. I went against a big law firm out of St Paul representing myself. I won the case and learned how to cross-examine people.
