- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We actually have 3 price packages...Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Each come with different perks and different prices points. Gold is the standard package (what you would see at most weddings). Platinum includes a face to face meeting (what I offer to Thumbtackers) and Diamond includes a 2nd DJ who records footage of the night (first dance, toasts, garter toss etc...) and then edits it down onto a DVD
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! You need to know what music is current, and continue to add to your playlists. Love Shack is great...but it's not the only song that people want to dance to!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to a string of weddings in a row one summer, and only 1 had a good DJ...not great mind you, but good. The others were flat out awful. So I started DJ'ing weddings for friends, and the referrals just started coming...and coming...and coming.
