FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to become a pet sitter when I was a child. I not only loved animals, but people would tell me that I was good with them. My dad suggested to me that I start my own small pet sitting and dog walking business and so I did. I still love taking care of and spending time with animals.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs that I do for my clients include dog walking, feeding and watering, playing, cleaning cages or litter boxes, administering medication and any other specific instructions the client may have. I also provide basic house sitting with the quote including: turning house lights on and off, getting the mail, bringing in the newspaper, and watering plants.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, I took care of a home of 5 cats for 2 weeks while a family was away on vacation. The cats each had their own personalities and it was important that I kept each cat comfortable during my time with them. By the end of the 2 weeks, I had gotten to know each of them well and the owners were so pleased as to how content the cats had been while they were away.
