Zephyros has been learning piano from Russ for almost 3 years. He went from tapping at keys to playing beautiful music that we love to listen to. Russ has encourage Zeph's love of music and has introduced him to new styles and genres, while appreciating the songs that Zeph finds and plays for him. Zoom hasn't made a difference at all. It feels like Russ is right there, in the room. We couldn't have asked for a better teacher. Our son is blossoming into a real musician, and we are grateful to have found Russ.

My daughter has been taking lessons from russ for over three years and she absolutely adores him. She has learned a great deal and is becoming quite the piano player at the age of 8. Russ makes learning piano fun and easy and she always looks forward to their lessons. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

My sons, ages 6 and 8, have been taking piano lessons from Russ for over a year and a half and have made significant progress. Russ is patient and keeps the boys engaged and excited to learn piano, even over zoom, which is how we have chosen to have lessons recently. Russ is flexible in his approach and takes his cues from the kids. I highly recommend Russ.

My son began lessons this year with Russell during quarantine. He has learned so much and finds his lessons with Russell to be the highlight of his week. He practices all the time and especially loves the piano improvisations he does with Russell at the beginning of his lessons.

Russ has a profound appreciation of music that spills over into his teaching. He likes hearing what is good in a performance a lot more than he is annoyed at what may be lacking, and that is very motivational. He seems to have an endless reservoir of music levels to progress too, although a good deal of patience as well. I played the piano in high school and now am retired. Russ has introduced me to the world of swing and jazz, though we have not abandoned classical. It has been a very rewarding process.
