Rick is a standout piano teacher and our entire family looks forward to his weekly lessons with my 8 year old daughter. He has been with her for almost a year and is patient, encouraging and incredibly enthusiastic about her learning, her progress and her capabilities. He uses every minute of her lesson time wisely and looks forward to her time with him every week. She does so well with piano only because he has engaged her and is teaching her in a rewarding and upbeat way. He's very, very good and we look forward to having him teach our younger two when they are old enough to play. We are very grateful to have Rick's expertise and experience contribute to our daughter's growth.

Rick has been teaching piano to my 9yr old daughter and myself for over a year. He teaches us both on the same day with back-to-back lessons. What always amazes me is how he can shift from my daughter's lesson to mine with such ease. He relates incredibly well to both kids and adults and has proven his ability to teach both effectively. Rick is encouraging and enthusiastic! He's incredibly patient and flexible. He has sparked a love for music in my daughter that is a true testament to his own love of music and his ability to inspire others. Rick is more than just a piano teacher to us. He's our friend and we hope he will continue teaching us for years to come!

I have taken voice lessons from Rick for the past year. I am a mature (old) individual and have always loved singing, have sung in a choir for the past 10 years but never took voice. The entire experience has been thrilling. Rich has improved my range, taught techniques for breathing and breath control which are unique and made lessons fun. He has me singing music I thought I would hate and never sing and love it. Rick has introducted me to music theory and composition and is extremely knowledgable. He has been flexible with his schedule and with the music we work on. Rick is very sensitive to what the needs and objectives of the student are and adjusts lessons to meet the goals. We have taken a break for the but will resume lessons in the fall. Rick is an outstanding teacher.

Rick is a great teacher. His comprehensive knowledge of piano technique makes him a suitable teacher for all levels of students. Patient, yes, but he also knows how to challenge you. He's encouraging and supportive, but also had a great critical ear, which is essential for learning (and eventually mastering) the dynamics, articulation, and melodic phrasing of Classical music. I searched for a long time to find this kind of teacher, so I feel very lucky to have found Rick.

Rick has been teaching my 9-year-old daughter for about a year. She began with very little musical experience and has come quite a long way in a short amount of time. Rick is kind, patient, enthusiastic and incredibly supportive of her successes. I believe his musical and teaching talents would be an asset to students of any level.
