In mid December we purchased a water softener and $300 installation from a major hardware store. Upon minimal inspection, the installer said our installation would be hundreds extra and wanted to put the softener in a weird spot to save a couple of feet of piping. I declined that install.
I called Bob Sable Services and he came out that day and installed it for the $300. He was quick and efficient and clearly knew what he was doing. He also set it up for use and answered my questions. I supplied the old blankets to protect areas of a finished basement that we wanted to keep clean so I am not sure what protection Bob would normally use.
It's been a couple of weeks with no issues.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Some companies are just one or two man operations. What happens to your warranty if they should retire or go out of business? I sell the GE product line so you can be assured of capable warranty fulfillment no matter what happens to my company.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I have 31 years in the soft water business.Over 25,000 families have used my installation service.Great care is taken not to leave a mess and to make sure you understand the products.My prices are very low for both sales and service. I haul away old equipment at no extra charge.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I like driving around every day and meeting lots of great people.Each repair call and installation is unique so I have to think about what I'm doing and how to approach the job.

A. What other services do you do? I am a licensed water conditioning contractor. Water softeners and drinking water systems are all I do.
