A. Hire experience. A true professional can create a video story which communicates your message with clarity, creativity and impact even with a home camcorder. Our high-quality tools increase the production value (on-screen quality) but it's knowing how to use them that makes a real difference. You have word processing on your computer, but that doesn't mean you should create your own promotional brochure!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Goals + deadline = budget! If you can be as specific as possible in what you want to achieve, know who your audience is and be really organized, it saves you money and allows your video producer to be much more precise in estimating the cost of the project. If you know what you want, it's up to the professional to help you achieve it with style! And above all, we want YOU to succeed, because it makes us look great.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. First, honing your message - be specific about what you're trying to say and to whom. Second, you're going to be spending your money for a quality production - are there multiple ways to use the video to maximize your return? Multipurposing your video (with only a few adjustments for a different audience or distribution medium) can really get you more bang for your buck. I have a long list of re-purposing ideas - call for a copy!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The best part about creating professional video for clients is having the opportunity to help them succeed in their business. Along the way, I get to learn about all kinds of things like nuclear power plants, fashion hairstyling, laser cardiac surgery, the best way to stop carpenter ants, the creativity of custom painting on fabrics and the enthusiasm of middle school students for their Magnet Program in Engineering. A. Shooting is typically a full-day or half-day instead of hourly. You the customer actually benefits from this because equipment set-up and take down time is figured in at a lower rate. Editing is hourly and can vary due to the complexity of the task. We also have reduced rates for personal video projects and non-profit organizations. Because this can be complicated, we offer free-no-obligation estimates. However, a ten-minute conversation with you can usually get you all the answers you need...even a ballpark quote!
