Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask a lot of questions, and make it very clear what you want in your new site. After you hire someone to create a website for you, then keep in contact with them every step of the way. You know your business and what you want more than a website designer does, so clarify what you want and need for your site.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I have a number of tutorials on my site to help customers or any one else. These range from my tutorials on Paint Shop Pro to the basics of WordPress, including how to post, plugins and plugin installation.

A. I would want to ask:
(1) how long have you been in business
(2) do you have other customers that will recommend you?
(3) can you give me some examples of your work?
(4) how long will it take to complete my project?
(5) do you provide training for a WordPress site or other CMS?
(6) if I need help with my site, will you be available?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. What websites have you seen that are similar to what you want? What colors are your favorite for the backgrounds, headers, etc. for the website? Do you have a logo or do you need one made for you? Do you have your own hosting, or will you need to purchase this? Hosting is separate from the website design cost, as is the domain name.
