Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. One of my mentors says to "be careful who you learn from." That could be extended to "be careful whom you hire." Marketers are highly skilled at dishing out slices of truth -- but not always the whole truth. Find someone who is really good at what she does and has your best interest at heart. Give her the opportunity to prove her value, and, once she does, stick to her like glue!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was working for one of the big box banks doing direct mail marketing, when they asked me to manage email marketing at the national level. Then the the bank added website management to my responsibilities. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience during those years and have continued as a student of and expert in this ever-change market.
