FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working for one of the big box banks doing direct mail marketing, when they asked me to manage email marketing at the national level. Then the the bank added website management to my responsibilities. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience during those years and have continued as a student of and expert in this ever-change market.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
One of my mentors says to "be careful who you learn from." That could be extended to "be careful whom you hire." Marketers are highly skilled at dishing out slices of truth -- but not always the whole truth. Find someone who is really good at what she does and has your best interest at heart. Give her the opportunity to prove her value, and, once she does, stick to her like glue!
