Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask to see examples of their work. Ask for references.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. There are all kinds of people professing to be professional website designers. Most do not have the education and experience that I have. I was a advanced development programmer for 10.5 years and I have won an International Art Show competition with 300 entrants in my category of watercolor. My background and the software I use give me flexability to create unique, challenging and stunning designs.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. How long have you been in business? I have been in business since 2004 as owner of Fine Line Web Design, LLC. My usual turn around is one week. If someone quotes you an hourly price, how long it is going to take them to make a website?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Do you want to maintain your website or do you want the hands off approach, let someone maintain it for you. What three colors do you want in your website. What mood do you want your website to reflect. Are you willing to spend $800 or more for a website that will set you apart from your competition? Most sites done for $800. Don't spend thousands - more money doesn't necessarily mean anything but more money.

Carol Johnson combines the eye of an artist with the logic of a programmer to design and develop unique websites.
In my case she hit the nail on the head out of the gate using graphics consistent with the mission of my business and a layout using a design tool that allows me to perform many refinements myself.
