FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It depends. Some clients like to book online and exchange wedding details in email. Some like to meet in person. Either way, the first step is hearing what the couple wants on their wedding day (even if it’s still a rough guess). Next is identifying how much time needs to be booked. Couples with larger wedding parties and families need to have more time for photos. Couples with multiple locations also need more time. We’ve done hundreds of weddings and can help you figure this out. Almost all our weddings are 6-10 hours. The exceptions are small, intimate or courthouse weddings. These may need 2-3 hours. Once the booking hours are determined, a package can be selected, and we provide a service agreement for signature. The signed agreement and a deposit are required to book the date. An engagement session is usually next, as well as save-the-dates, holiday cards, wedding guest sign in book, and prints or wall art for the couple’s home, parents, for a wedding table display. As we approach the wedding date, we’ll review notes on the couples preferences, confirm schedule, details, and provide tips.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We've been photographing and filming weddings for 10+ years. Before weddings, we worked as photojournalists shooting all styles of events so we know how to anticipate and capture special moments in widely varying light environments. We also shoot travel, portrait and nature photography. Michael is an award winning photojournalist and photo editor.
