My 12 & 15 year old sons took beginner guitar lessons with Rachel. I was impressed with what they learned and the price could not have been better. They were motivated and looked forward to their lessons. I liked how she set up the schedule in the beginning of the summer and provided options for any of our normal days that wouldn't work. I wish I had also signed another of my kids up for piano. I chose Rachel because the price was right and I wanted to gauge their interest levels. We will return to Rachel because the price is good AND she's a good music instructor who kept the kids motivated.

My 12-year old son took guitar lessons from Rachel last summer. She was recommended to me by a friend. He had already had about 3 years of guitar with another teacher. As a parent I liked: how she set the schedule up, the price, her willingness to be flexible with scheduling conflicts, and her balance of playfulness/teaching with lessons. My son liked: the bead system to reinforce practicing, learning chords vs. strumming method, having input into music choice, and comfort of the lesson location. I do not know Rachel well personally, but I was impressed with how organized she was. You can tell she loves music and she is good with children.

She worked very well our son who was just starting. He always looked forward to going back to class and enjoyed Rachel and the learning experience he had with her. We will enroll him again whentime permits.
