Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. If someone is giving you a price is too to good to be true it is usually too good to be true. Basically, the labor times to perform the repair is the same no matter who does the repairs, the variation in price would usually be the difference in quality of the parts, materials being used and the labor rate for the service being performed. Doing it once and doing it right the first time is going cost you less in the long run. REMEMBER, YOU GET YOU YOU PAY FOR. If the vendor is asking for payment in cash only, and payment in full before the work is completed, be very careful!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. There are a lot of shop out there. Small family owned business are the companies who work for you and do what is in your best interest. Make sure you work with an established business, which has a physical location, business insurance and city and county license.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Shopping base only on price can be very expensive in the log run. Make sure you ask about the warranty for the service or parts you are about to purchase. Remember brakes and tires are going to keep you out of the collision repair shop, and all brakes and tires are not created equally. You have the right to choose the repair shop of your choice and you are not required to take you vehicle to the shop you insurance company tells you to take it to. You do not have to have more than one estimate and your warranty is through that shop that performs the repairs, not the insurance company.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I provide a quality service at a fair price. I strive to complete the job for the quoted price. We use quality parts for the repairs, because the labor is the same if the part is a used part, cheap aftermarket part and quality part. Doing a job over cost me money and it cost you in time and money. That is why it is better to do the job only once and do it right at that time.
