Been a student for a couple of months now. I was really stuck in a lot of areas, mostly my overall tone and my speed..He has made a huge difference, already. I'm even impressed with how these scales are comming around..my tone has never sounded this good. Some people can teach themselves and blossom, some people have great potential and can't teach themselves. I'm feeling better about my future, I trust what Paul has to say 100% about how to get to that point. He takes extra time to make sure you understand that material, he's not in it for the money like some are, he really makes sure you get the most out of each lesson, and he checks on your progress. He really enjoys helping other people get on the right track..Don't think I could ask for a better teacher. Especially considering how busy he is, and makes time for all. he is successful in the music world.

I began my lessons with Paul having basically a blank slate, unsure of what to expect as I had no prior music experience. During our first lesson, Paul's effectiveness as a teacher became quite clear. He goes at a pace that is easy to follow, explains concepts very understandably, and is EXTREMELY patient and encouraging. He takes the time to make sure everything is understood before moving on, usually by having me repeat the exercise until it's done properly. If something seems off, either with the playing or the equipment, he takes the time to troubleshoot until he finds a solution. He's also very concerned about instilling and maintaining proper habits while playing. Last and certainly not least, he's just a super cool guy and really easy to talk to. These lessons have been a real pleasure, and I can't wait to learn all I can from Paul. If you're interested in learning guitar, do yourself a favor and send an email his way. You won't regret it.

After taking my 10 year old son to quite a few Guitar teachers, I never really felt confident that he was learning what he should be or progressing. I had considered just giving up on his music tuition altogether, until we found Paul. At first I was very hesitant to get my son lessons via skype, as I am terrible with technology and find it all quite overwhelming. Lucky for us Paul is one of the most patient and understanding people that I have met. He continually goes out of his way to be both helpful and supportive, and has made the whole process so much easier and enjoyable for both myself and my son. If you are considering guitar lessons for either yourself or your children, I would highly recommend contacting Paul Allender. He is a very talented and amazing teacher.

paul did the final editing of a music vdo of mine. the job was challenging from the get-go for a number of reasons. it is in a foreign language, the music arrangement is eastern, indian classical based, it was already part edited in pakistan and we had to work through the internet (as i am in california) and deal with time difference and sometimes misunderstandings due to no face to face contact! given all these hurdles, paul did an excellent job, in terms of creativity, efficiency, comprehension, availability, responsiveness, patience, pricing and good humour! i asked for a lot and he delivered! i would hire him again in a shot and recommend him for all types of projects. i am confident he will do a commendable job.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a yearly subscriber to Lynda.com which is great for expanding my creative arsenal and am going through adobe certification.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started with Photoshop in 1996 after having a change of career. I worked for an embroidery company and taught myself PS for designing Celtic patterns for digitising. From there I was hooked, I learnt After Effects, Final Cut Pro and C4D which led me to animating and compiling DVD menu pages and merchandise designs. I'm even more hooked now on what I do and am blessed to be able to do this as my career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
In my business I do a lot of image stabilization and colour correction. Recently I'm editing more music as well as instructional and informative videos.
