Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We generally have many young piano students. Currently we have more than 30 piano students taking weekly lessons. Piano students begin as young as 5 years. Voice students are usually age 11 or older. We encourage you to contact us if you have a young person interested in lessons or you are considering lessons for yourself.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Find a reputable, responsible professional who will give you (or your student) a quality music experience. The other important factor is the student-teacher relationship. Students need to like their teacher to be successful. Meet the teacher before agreeing to lessons.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Reliability is important. Location is also important. You will be visiting this person every week. It should be something you or your student looks forward to.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What qualifications does the person have?
How much experience?
Are there any benefits of hiring this person versus someone else?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Are they ready to commit to this learning process?
Can they afford this service?
Can you commit to a regular weekly lesson?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our voice instructors are professional singers as well as trained vocal instructors. Teaching singing is as specific as teaching any other instrument, and should not be done by a teacher who does not specialize in vocal education. An academic understanding of how the voice works is essential to teaching singing.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do you have openings after 5 PM? Do you have weekend lessons?
The answers are yes and yes. With three teachers on staff and two studios, we have more flexibility to teach in the evening and on weekends
