Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Meeting with the photographer is not just looking at the sample work he or she provides. Spend time just talking with every photographer you are thinking of working with. You need to ensure their personality fits the the mood of your wedding, and that this person is someone you can trust to capture the most important moments of your day. Also ask your photographer if they are married. I was just married in 2010, and believe me being on the other side of the camera really changes your perspective and understanding of how a wedding should be photographed.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. You just need to know that you are getting married!! I love it when people come in with an open mind, and not much planning done, because then I really get to see the wedding develop!!
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My photo journalistic style is sure to capture all the moments of your wedding or event, from the most formal poses to all the fun outtakes! Posed photos are a wonderful and important part of your day, but to preserve your memories you need to also capture the emotions and excitement of the day. That is what separates MillTown Photography from the rest!
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love meeting with the couples who I work for, and talking through their day. It is so exciting planning and then watching two people vow to spend their lives together, and I view it as a real honor and privilege to be a part of their special day.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What is the cost? Honestly, that is the most common question. I feel that is the case because so many people who are going through the wedding planning process are overwhelmed by how quickly their budget can be maxed out. That is why I offer flexible pricing. You sit down with me, and tell me what you think you should pay for your wedding, and we can build a package together custom tailored to what you would like. Why should you have to pay for a wedding package that contains maybe 3 things you like and 5 you don't? Everything about this day should be how YOU want it, not how the photographer provides it in a pre-constructed package.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. Photography is hard work, but when you see the couples faces light up in the viewfinder as they say their vows, and capture that first kiss as a new couple, it is all worth it!
