Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I focus only on the freshest ingredients possible and all items for a clients event are made the same day. I do not pre-make volumes of standard menu items and heat them up for events, nor do I purchase ready-made items from large food vendors. This ensures the best tasting dishes and also enables me to customize most items to individual tastes or dietary restrictions. Food makes people happy. I get to help people, and help them be happy. When I am done with an event and the client says how much they enjoyed the food, I know I am doing the right thing.

Chef Lauren was a great fit with our event and I would definitely use her again the next time I need a chef! We had a fairly tight budget and a specific ask in terms of the food we wanted to share and our timeline and Chef Lauren put together an evening that worked perfectly for us. She also has a very relaxed, friendly matter that made the night more fun.

This last mothers day, I hired Lauren to cook dinner for my family, which was six people. The meal was fabulous. We had A beautifully baked salmon, a lovely salad with a rice pilaf and a spectacular strawberry shortcake. Lauren was very professional, efficient and respected our private family time. She arrived on time with her own tools and left the kitchen spotless. I would definitely use her again

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Events range from cocktail parties for 40+ people to romantic dinners for two in your home. Virtually any type of in home entertaining can be accommodated. Contact us today for information and a budgetary quotation. One very popular style of event is the in-home cooking class. The client gets to decide on the menu, what items they will learn, and best of all, gets to eat a complete meal with friends after cooking. It's always great fun for everyone!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look at what is included in the costs the service provider is quoting. Is service/labor included? Many caterers tack on additional fees to the end of the invoice, such as large service fees, mandatory gratuities, etc. MealThymes does not. What you see on the service quote is the amount you will see on your final invoice, taxes and service included. Be sure to ask the provider what additional charges there may be.
