Love Tree Studios is made up of two artists, Jessica White and Aubrey Rowden. Hailing from the heart of Mid America- Columbia, MO- we've combined 8 years of experience to document the requests of countless events and beautiful faces. With Art/Photography degrees under our belts and a passion like no other, we've been equipped to bring your vision to the next level!

Love Tree Studios utilizes the natural lighting of the outdoors as well as the controlled lighting of indoor sessions. You will be able to enjoy a very personable atmosphere that encourages your heightened creativity and rewards you with a memorable experience during your sessions.

Our approach to our work takes on that of fine art portrait and wedding photography. Fine Art Photography is photography with a modern approach to where design is paramount. You will find traditional clean shots enter-woven throughout, but the real story about your day is what we desire to capture through an artistic perspective. Our time with you will be drenched in serious fun with a beautiful and dramatic outcome.

As your photographers, we are excited to work with you to realize your vision. As artists, we hope to encourage the intensity of all that you can imagine. We look forward to the honor and privilege it will be to work with you and to document these wonderful moments in your lives!

with love,

We met Jessica at our church and thought she was a sweet person and wanted to "bless" her by hiring her to do our family photos. Well that thought quickly changed as I went to her website/blog a week before our photo shoot and realized it would be her that would be "blessing" us! I was amazed at her artistic style. She had such a creativity that was present in all of her photos. I began to get excited ( ; We met at a abandoned house that she had just stumbled upon and took some pictures there. Then we went to a really awesome dirt road with some fall trees behind us and took several more photos. The sun went down a little faster than we all had anticipated and she offered to meet again 2 days later if we were up for it! We went downtown and finished our photos there. We loved all of our photos from Jessica!!! These were going to be Christmas presents for our family and they went nuts over them. We have 3 kids and did 2 long photo shoots with her and it was amazingly easy ! She is so kind and humble and very easy to work with. You will leave your experience with such a joy in your heart after being with her. I highly recommend her to everyone!!!

Jessica and Aubrey are wonderful to work with. It's obvious in their service and quality of work that they care as much about the event they're shooting as the people who hire them. I was fortunate enough to have them shoot my wedding. It's hard to trust strangers with memories that should last a lifetime--memories you plan to show your children someday, but Jessica and Aubrey took all the stress out of it and the most enjoyable part of the evening ended up being taking photos. Thanks ladies. We love you.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We have actually been moving more towards weddings. This year we booked 14 weddings and are hitting 2012 and 2013 very strong!! Outside of that we do tons of senior and family/baby sessions. We love our job!!!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for photographers that tell your story, past the traditional. That artistic perspective will be appreciated above the norm.
Look at the body of work for depth and creativity. It's kind of like a new song. When singing that new song are you able to predict the next lyric? That's not always a positive thing. Our advice to you is to seek that photographer that writes the amazing lyrics, the perspective that you never thought you always wanted to see. Will that photographer represent you better than you can imagine? Look for these things and you will have that session that you've always desired!!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. A customer should define their vision for their session, what are you wanting the end result to be? That can be done by researching photography in the same category. Next, line up their budget with which photographer can follow through with the vision. Sometimes the vision may be greater than the budget. The end product will be worth the preparation, research and cost. Those memories really are priceless. Choose not to save money on the photographer if you can help it. You will be the happiest customer alive with the end product. In this case cheaper is not necessarily better.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We just did a prom session in a super market!!! Yes that's right. It was definitely the talk of the Senior Prom that night. We worked on the teasers and posted them up in time for everyone at the prom to pass around the image links on their phones!! It was definitely an inspirational shoot and opened the doors to many other ideas for future senior sessions!!!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes! We have a number of photography conferences out of state that we are attending to stay on top of our passions. They are all going to be led by fabulous artists and photographers that are highly inspirational to us. Bringing back these new ideas to Middle America is our goal, to move traditional photography up to the next level and bring in the artistic photo journalistic approach.
