My daycare is fun, well organized and professionally ran in a 576 sq ft basement that has been remodeled strictly for the children. I focus on providing high-quality service as well as parent satisfaction in a home atmosphere.
I do everything I can to teach your children the fundamentals of everyday life and try to meet all your expectations.
I can assure you your child will be happy here. I have lots of experience with infants as well as toddlers and older children. A daily activity report is given out with each infant child as well as monthly newsletters to all parents/families.
I have an itinerary sheet, registration sheet, and information sheet available upon request and can be emailed to you if preferred. References are available at the time of interviewing for the privacy of my families.
Hours: 7:00 - 5:00 flexible
Rates: $135.00 a week (4-5 days), $28 a day for part time

Where Kids Can Learn
June 5, 2010
Maria has been taking care of my son since September 2009 when he was just three months old. I was very nervous about leaving him in the care of someone else, but right when I met her, I knew we would hire her to be his daycare provider. Daycare is on a quiet residential street and the area designated for the daycare is always clean and well organized. There are never any messes or weird smells. I think that is very important. Temperature controls are always perfect...never too hot or too cold. There are numerous toys to suit a child of any age. My son is now 1 year old and has had access to developmentally appropriate toys every single day. Also, Maria keeps really great hours and is very flexible with the parents. I think she spends a lot of time with of each of the kids. I was very concerned when looking for daycares that the provider wouldn't spend time with my son, but I know that she plays with him as well as changes his diaper numerous times a day (she is very vigilant making sure the kids are not sitting in their wet diapers!), and she spends a lot of time feeding him and working on his eating because he has some feeding issues. She does a GREAT job.
Also, one of the most important things to me is that Maria's daycare is breastfeeding-mom friendly. She has been great making sure that my son is getting mom's milk and she knows how to handle/store/heat breastmilk.
She has given me the peace of mind to go to work and not worry all day about my son. He is always so happy when we drop him off so I know he loves it there. My husband and I feel so lucky to have found her!

I met Maria through a family member who recommended her to me. I was a little eerie about the whole thing and the fact that this was going to be my daughters first time away from me. Maria completely eased my mind the first time I met her, and I knew the first day I dropped Cheyenne off she was in great hands. Marie kept me up to date on everything my daughter was doing and accomplishing and she didn’t mind a phone call every now and then to check up on my child. Maria is very professional and her daycare is a great place for a child to grow and play. I regretted the day my daughter stopped going there, but if I ever someone to watch Cheyenne again Maria will be the first person I call and I would definitely recommend her to all my family and friends…

Maria's daycare is a well organized, clean, and fun environment for children. Maria maintains a professional 'daycare' feel in the close comfort of a home. My 2 older children enjoyed being with her- I will be bringing my baby back this fall.

A. See if the daycare has an itinerary, ask how the number of children they watch each day, how many newborns or the ages of all children. If they plan on watching any more after your child and the max amount they will watch at one time. Do they drive around with the children. What are the sleeping arrangement for each chid and does it change at a certain age. There is so much I could type here but I will just say... ask as many questions as you like. Their is no question too small, too big or even stupid when it comes to the well being of your child!
A. How easy it really is. This job also gives me a lot of inside information on raising different cultured children. I am always looking up new information on illnesses as well.
A. Because I do not think of myself as a babysitter but more of a professional women running a small business. I am a professional childcare provider. I maintain a structure for the children and have small guidlines for the families and myself to follow. I am very flexible and work hard to make sure each child and their families feel comfortable while they are with me.
A. I love the children. The best part is watching them change. Laying down to sitting up. Sitting up to crawling and then walking. Its the best. Playing with the children and being able to act silly is aways a bonus. Teaching the children their colors, ABC's or their numbers is also an extra bonus.
A. Their really isn't any certain question they ask rather than they all comment on the basement in which my daycare is ran out of. I do not think there are a lot of people who run home daycares with a set up like mine. I accomplish having a set up like a facility center and making it comfortable for the children and myself.
A. No. Everyday I have another story to tell someone.
A. That I am a responsible caring individual and not all people in this job field are. Be very picky when it comes to daycares and make sure what they offer is right for you and your family needs. I request an interview with each new family inquiry. And when I interview I make sure they fit in with what I am looking for as well. For me picking the right family can be as hard as for families picking the right daycare. I make sure the new child will fit in with the other children and that I have the proper toys and enough equipment for the child. I also consider the age of the child.
A. Honestly I could not find anybody suitible for my newborn. Plain and simple. This is not something I had planned to do but knew I could. And when I did make the decision to run a daycare I wanted to have the best one around.
