Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Kitchen and bath remodels are the most common. Close second would be re-carpeting the entire home. Third would be that old brick fireplace needs an update.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. A hammer, tool belt, and tile saw don't make a professional installer. There is proper training and installation methods with the proper materials with the correct sub-floor conditions.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Know your budget and don't cut corners. A basic tile installed correctly will look better than an expensive tile installed improperly.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work stands out because I do ALL the work myself. I have NO sub-contractors. I use top quality materials and do the job right the first time.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love creating and the sense of accomplishment when a project is finished and the customer is happy.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. "Do you like this choice?"
this is your home, ultimately there is no right or wrong choice, its a personal thing. I will always advise of my opinion, but you have to live with it. choose well, take your time.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My father taught me the trade. He was a Union Installer and taught at the Kansas City Building and Trades Center for the union.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Go to your local building and trades office and get in an apprenticeship program. Nothing beets a solid foundation.
