Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: What I love most about my job is making people happy, or easing their worries. Having a lot of data on a HD can become worrysome if the data isn't being protected and backed up. But I tend to think of myself as a doctor. I'm going to save that patient! :) It is highly unlikely that you will lose your data. Be sure to cover all angles and back up your data regularly to make the ease of restoring that data better.

My husband and I started working with Lisa about a year ago. She has been an invaluable resource for helping with our technology needs. She has proved knowledgable in all areas where her expertise was needed; from setting up wireless connection in the home to trouble shooting printer problems and customizing settings on both desk top and lap top computers. She has also been able to lend practical advice for general computer use such as setting up files and folders. Besides being knowledgable and quite capable in her field, I feel Lisa is quick to respond, pleasant to work with and will work until the problem at hand is resolved. I would not hesitate to recommend TechServ KC for your technology service needs.

I have had the opportunity to use the services of TechServ KC on a number of occassions. I have used the to transfer files from a previous computer to my newly purchased one. Each time I have found them to be very competent and professional, always on time for scheduled appointments, and very reasonably priced. I would have no hesitancy recommending TechServ KC to anyone.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My mother, a typewriting teacher turned computer teacher, had the means by which I had a technically advanced upbringing. We had an Apple II that I spend many hours on learning DOS and playing Family Feud. Over the years my love for computers and technology grew. I found myself wanting to know and solve problems as they related to computers. I still have that urge to know and solve problems, but now its for my customers. And I am happy for that.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Computer repair jobs. Mostly those consisting of people who complain of slow response time or viruses. I think that its important to show people what and why I do what I do so that they can help guard their private data in the future.
