Despite the fact we went though all the touble of getting three bids over a two month period, Gary was one of the first bidders and kept in contact and he eventually got the job. His job and professionalism was perfect and we'd never hire anyone else to work on our home.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I'd want my contractor to give me his full attention. I'd want to know his history and reputation. I'd want to know he's not some fly-by-night guy. I'd want to see his licenses and insurance and I'd want to have numbers from previous customers I could call. I would want to see before and after photos from his projects.
The best inside secret is that almost everybody goes over budget by 20% and despite his best attempts, he gets blamed for it.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I believe 35 years in business speaks more than I can say. You can't remodel homes in a professional way without staying in business this long and making countless customers very happy.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I work for myself and I consider myself like a farmer. I pay the bills with what I do with my hands. We both depend on the weather and we both are expected to deliver superior products and service.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Most commonly asked question comes from new customers who have money and are wary based on previous sloppy expericenc from other contractors. My answer is 35 years in this business speaks more than I need to say. Half of my work is due the the DIY guys and other sloppy contractors.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I've been doing this for 35 years. I've seen countless fly-by-night people come and go who blew their money on fancy trucks instead of tools. My job is honest and old fashioned craftsmanship.
