Kansas City Young Audiences Community School of the Arts provides high-quality arts programs for ages 2 to adult. This was designed to engage all youth in the arts, promote creativity and inspire success in education.

We offer:

* Dance classes including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and hip hop
* Acting classes
* Music lessons such as piano, violin, viola, guitar, percussion, horns, woodwinds, vocal music, choirs, and garage bands
* Creative writing for group classes and private instruction
* Visual arts classes

History

Established in 1961, Kansas City Young Audiences, nonprofit organization, was founded. We opened the Community School of the Arts in 2005. We offer in-school performances and workshops through our school and community programs and arts partners programs. We operate the Community School of the Arts where children may take classes and private instruction in music, dance, drama, creative writing and the visual arts.

Our professional teaching artists provide students a comprehensive arts experience that inspires them to discover and develop their unique talents.
