- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a child I loved to build and create new spaces. As I grew up I became more interested in construction and worked for a local home builder during high school and part of college. I began college as an Architecture student and finished college as a design and economics/business student because I wanted to be more hands on. I was able to find a career that allowed me to use both my design and business abilities to create spaces that people love.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The most recent job I am most proud of would be a 2nd floor reconfigure and master bathroom remodel project. We ended up taking space from an existing spare bedroom to create a large walk in closet for the master bedroom. The spare bedroom didnt lose any square footage in the process because we were able to reposition the closet in a way that made more sense. We also added a double vanity, custom cabinets, granite counters, a heated travertine tile floor and travertine shower walls.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask to see pictures of past work and get feedback from past clients. There are many construction professionals out there and there is usually a big difference in the way each professional conducts their business.
