I found Laurie on thumbtack from a random search on Google. I needed a hair and makeup stylist for a fun photo shoot I was doing for my birthday. Laurie was WONDERFUL! She is very easy to work with - prompt, friendly, flexible, affordable, she listened to what I wanted, and above all she really knows what she is doing! I'm so glad I found her. My hair and makeup turned out perfect (it didn't even budge when I was outside in the 100 degree heat)! I have recommended Laurie to my friends and would recommend her to anyone who needs a great stylist and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
It all started when I was 10 years old I would cut pictures of Cindy Crawford and Brooke Shields out of magazines and tape them to my mirror I would copy their look to a T so much so my mom new I had a natural talent. I would make friends over all of the time and as I got older I started working at makeup counters but that just was not enough for me I wanted to get out there and change lives so I decided to freelance doing weddings, TV, Film, photo shoots and fashions shows. Now I am doing some work for The Travel Channel, E! Strange Music Inc, Kansas City Star, KC Magazine and the list goes on! I love what I do and I am truly living my dream!
