In October 2011, over two days, Michele presented eleven lectures on accessibility to the members of Alexandria, Virginia's City Council and to each department of City government as well as to invited community leaders. She captivated the hearts and minds of everyone who heard her, and as the word spread about her expertise, we saw standing-room only crowds. Her sense of humor had everyone chuckling as well as learning, especially when she convinced our Vice Mayor to participate in her lectures. The feedback was full of gratitude for the knowledge she imparted to the police, fire, city planning, and business leaders. Several local associations made immediate plans to bring her back for additional work. The Commission on Persons with Disabilities was proud to sponser Michele and grateful for the successful series of lectures. I find writing a resume is not fun. I am the type of person that has difficulty selling my skill set to others on paper. About 4 years ago, I discovered resume writing services were "a thing" and if I went through the killer deal site, Groupon, I could utilize this service for as low as $40.00. I answered some questions on a survey and sent my job history to an email address. The end product was delivered and I was happy with it at the time. But I was employed and was not actively seeking employment. As time went on, I myself would update my resume. Now four years later I am back job hunting. For three months, I have been applying through job boards, employer websites, attending job fairs and I just wasn't getting any bites so I knew I needed help. That's where Michele and Associates came in. Some of the key things that made it such a great experience- · The Turnaround- After I initially spoke with Michele on the phone, I sent her my resume to review. Literally, the next day we were on the phone discussing revisions. · The Product- My resume looks awesome! Michele has a gift. I would have never been able to come up with a list of accomplishments, and placing them at the top of a resume makes so much sense…I would never have thought of that! And the table format…it really makes it stand out! · The Consultation- My previous experience was all done through email. The gentleman I worked with was in CA and made no effort to get to know me. We had only two email exchanges until I received the end product. From the get go, Michele was very professional, knowledgeable, polite and personable. We spent over 30 minutes on our initial phone call and nearly 60 minutes going over the resume after she made revisions. She genuinely made an effort to get to know me and wanted to make sure I understood the revisions that she made. I am 100% completely satisfied. I have posted my new resume to indeed.com and updated my Linkin.com profile. I have not been offered a job yet, but have had 3 recruiters reach out to me based off of my new resume in less than two weeks!

The topics are great conversation starters with friends that have also read her latest work and reading about her and her adventures with her pups in helping to motivate others (first with Maddie and now the lovable Sufra) have become like catching up with family members.

Work with the organizations and the situations individually. travel expenses must be covered Consulting is hourly Motivational/keynote presentations are depend on organization non-profit versus profit. Local or traveling. I'm not trying to undercut anyone I just try to work with the organization and their financial abilities
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Find out their specific needs 2. Learn the outcome goal for the project 3. Adjust each project to meet the actual needs of the customer, not my perceived notions. 4. Be available for follow-up assistance after a project is completed.

I read, participate in webcasts, stay in contact with the professionals writing guidelines, and never stop learning through interaction with the professionals in the field of the Americans with Disabilities Act and disABILITIES issues
