FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, there are too many variables involved in preparation for my message and since I travel to your location the distance is taken into consideration. I dont deliver canned presentations therefore each new talk is just that fresh and tailored specifically to your event. However, when possible I do price with flexibility. Im always honest and upfront when the occasion presents itself to be flexible in charging for services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I look forward to the initial phone or e-mail contact with a potential client at which time I schedule an appointment to meet with them via phone, in person if at all possible or virtually within 24 hours. During that time Ill ask questions to access the needs for their conference during which time I close my mouth and listen. Then Ill share my experience thatll make me the best choice for their event presenter. This is usually a give and take time which offers the opportunity for flexibility on my part.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ive always felt at home behind the podium or walking back and forth across a platform. An amazing high school instructor developed a love for public speaking within me. Her encouragement prompted me to enter and win several oratorical contests such as the 4th District American Legion Oratorical Contest and the Voice of Democracy. I was awarded a speech scholarship to college but due to personal circumstances was unable to accept. I worked many years as an administrative assistant and in customer service. During that time I attended and facilitated numerous training sessions and events in the fields of insurance, human resources and sales. As a former restaurateur I trained my staff to provide exemplary service whether they were on the front line or behind the scenes stressing the importance of teamwork which is necessary to run a successful business. In 2010 I broadened my horizons being certified as a Christian speaker and writer through Florence Littauers ClasSeminars. 2012 stretched my training by being certified as a trainer for Stanford Universitys Chronic Disease Self-Management Program.
