FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pending on budget, I have several packages that apply. I spend a lot time asking questions to make sure everyone involved is on the same page and that costs stay within the budget. However, I also give many options to upgrade or possibly enhance each package. This needs to be discussed either by phone or via e-mail. I do a 50/50 system that requires the deposit 30 days prior to the assignment with balance due day of the shoot. The deposit is non-refundable if cancelation occurs 7 days prior to the assignment. The same is true for digital enhancement of imaging I have not created myself.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, constantly. I am always studying the style, lighting, composition, digital enhancement, and ease of providing a better turn around on services rendered. I strive for my work to be slightly different that the others so I spend a minimum of 3 to 10 hours on each assignment. I am also furthering my education in marketing and cost effectiveness to always give customers the best bang for the buck!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to be a photojournalist ever since I saw CBS covering the Vietnam War. However, journalistic photos rarely pay the bills consistently. So I have had to diversify into being more of an editorial photographer with artistic twists. I can make virtually anything look appealing enough to post a print upon a screen saver, wall, or calendar.
