Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My best advice is to follow through in communications with the technician you hire. They will ask you questions and you MIGHT think they are dumb questions, but to the technician they can make a huge difference in their assessment of what is wrong with your computer. Hire us, be prepared to answer any questions you can, and we will get your computer fixed.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Due to the nature of the service there are A LOT of people in the computer industry to make a quick buck. Some of these people think they know what they are doing because their friends and family ask them for help. We stand out because we actually know what we are doing. We maintain staff certified in the latest technology by the major vendors and we maintain staff who have worked in the private sector in professional roles. The bottom line is that we can get the job done, and get it done right.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We LOVE fixing computers, but we REALLY LOVE putting our customers back to work with their computers. Computers have become somewhat of a staple in our society and being without it is like being without your car, especially if the computer is a business asset. Without your computer, you aren't making money. We like to keep our customers working, so they keep making money, so they keep coming back!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Can you fix my computer?
Yes. We can usually fix your computer. If it is going to be expensive we might suggest other options such as transferring your data to a brand new computer depending on circumstance.

Can you get rid of a virus?
Yes. We can get rid a virus, adware, spyware, malware and we will communicate with you on our progress as we reach certain milestones.

Can you backup my iTunes?
Yes. We can backup your iTunes music and video for safe storage outside your computer. We can also transfer the iTunes to another computer for you to use.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. We recently upgraded a home builder's estimating software that was severely out of date and was in danger of going out of support due to its age. We went through two rounds of upgrades on the software package to bring it current, which involved building a newer server to support the newer software. It involved two rounds of upgrades on the database behind the software, and it involved two rounds of upgrades on the software package itself. We staged the migration process over a couple weeks to ensure the software was working as expected and to minimize impact to the business through the upgrade process.

I think the labor on this project was around $600 - $700 plus parts and software licensing.
