Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Problems with slow computers, programs not opening correctly and not being able to connect to the Internet are the most common calls that I receive. Generally speaking, these are problems with malware.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. It is worth your time to search Google and view forums before hiring a computer technician. Most problems can easily be resolved by a simple online search!
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Most repairs are not as time consuming as the technician says. In reality, the customer is being charged for time not being spent actually working on the computer. For example - removing a virus from a computer does not necessarily require the technician to sit in-front of the computer for the entirety of the process. However, a lot of technicians charge for the time the computer is running a process, etc.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Everyone should weigh the financial costs of having a computer repaired. If the repair costs outweigh the cost of a new computer, you may consider purchasing a new one, and having your data copied to the new hard drive.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I enjoy everything about working with computers and technology - I always have! Especially when I have a problem that can't easily be solved. I'm always up for a good challenge in my work.
