Tom is a qualified professional. He is dependable, cost conscience and has the experience to advise on any size job. A large portion of his work comes via referrals. He defers to customers preference of bidding work by the hour or a defined project. Over the last few years, Tom has performed painting chores, electrical, plumbing and construction jobs on time and within budget. He never leaves a job without a thorough cleanup. Highly recommend.

We hired Tom Daily contracting to paint our apartment. The job was completed ahead of schedule, which we appreciated, however, a closer time estimate would have allowed us to better estimate the hourly rate he'd be making. We understood that he was bidding to get the job done, not an hourly rate, but the job was done in just 2/3 the time originally proposed-makes for a quite a jump in the "hourly rate" he made. In all honesty, we would not have been as offended had he conducted himself in a more professional manner. When we arrived to inspect the job and were suprised at how quickly the job was done, he stated, "you didn't hire a bunch of kids". In addition, he didn't take the time to take the switchplates or outlets covers off and simply brushed around them. This, of course did not leave a smooth finish. When we questioned why he didn't take swithplates off, he said, "some people just don't know how to cut". There was a bit of paint on the swithplates, but the more noticeable issue with not removing them were the obvious brush marks. We also requested a receipt for tax purposes and he didn't have one. He signed the back of a piece of paper and said he'd email one. We have yet to receive the receipt nearly 3 weeks after the job. The average paint job, coupled with the lack of professionalism led to a 2 star rating.
