Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Bridal
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. What type of makeup is used, how long it takes to complete one person's makeup application and definitely ask to see CURRENT work within the past 6 months.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I am a perfectionist and have been told by many customers that I do precise, detailed work. I also utilize an airbrush machine and that makeup is waterproof which is perfect for brides. It is resistent to tears, sweat and oil and looks flawless in pictures!
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love that I am working with people who are excited and happy about their futures!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How long have I been doing this and how did I get into doing makeup? My answer is I have been doing this for 6 years and I started out as a print model myself and was more interested in what the makeup artists were doing when they came in to do my makeup. I began practicing on other models, trained myself and began networking with photographers to build my portfolio. I am also an artist and my favorite thing about art is mixing color.. it goes along the same lines as makeup.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Everybody has an individual story, there are too many to write! I enjoy hearing people's wedding stories, how they met, all the details, etc. I love it all!
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. How passionate I am about what I do!
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I'm an artist, abstract on canvas painter..
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Esthetics which encompasses skin care and everything surrounding it. The better the skin, the better the makeup looks!
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. If you don't LOVE people, don't do this!!!
