FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm currently waiting on Local Union 562 to accept new apprentice applications so that I can start with the Union Hall. I've completed trade school and received my associates, but wanting to further my trade in the Union for many years to come.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
One day my cousin wanted me to help him in plumbing so I went only to push a broom while he worked. After I was done cleaning up trash I watched him work and I was like "that's something I want to try", so I read the plumbing code book and watched videos. While doing all of this I went to the plumbing supply store and purchased different materials for home repair and just to see how to put together different things at hand. After I had completed many different things at home I went to school and loved every minute of it.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I'm more of an adviser for plumbing. Many people that know me call me up to make sure that a plumber is telling the problems correct and the best way to do a job. The plumber would then pull the permit and do the work and I'll clean up afterwards.
