I've worked with Mark Casey for six years. I played saxophone from grade school thru college and hadn't played in 38 years. Mark has helped me improve my technique on the baritone sax, improve my reading skills and taught me the basics of improvisation.
Mark is patient and focused towards my goals in a non-judgmental manner.
Mark will research and suggest appropriate material that reinforce the topics covered in sessions with him.
Mark also utilizes technology to create play along backing tracks for practice at home.
Mark is a good choice for young musicians, as well as older players.

Mark is a terrific teacher and I have a great time every lesson. I hadn't touched my tenor for 20 years and Mark helped me get my chops back in time for my college funk band reunion. I had so much fun and improved so quickly, that I've continued and--thanks to Mark--I'm better than I ever was.
He's laid back, but organized so the lessons are fun and productive. And every week, I feel like I'm a little better musician, my tone is a letter better, my reading, everything.

Mark is great with kids and has done so much for my son Owen. He doesn't just teach "songs," he teaches skills. He has made my kid a much better player on alto sax and he does it in a way that is challenging yet enjoyable for my son. Mark is super knowledgeable on a lot of instruments and genres, too. Now that Owen has a great tone and good technique, he's going to work with him on improvisation.
