Summary The roofing work was great. Chris was professional, friendly and did a thorough job. Debbie from the office was great about communicating when he would come and what would be done. I have to say, however, that I was disappointed by the quoting process. It feels like they didn't take the time they needed to assess the job properly and changed the terms on me once Chris arrived to start the work. Details I had four suppliers come inspect my roof and provide me with a quote. Pro-Craft's quote was competitive with another supplier, and both seemed equally professional, but I chose Pro-Craft because they gave me a written estimate on the spot that specified everything I wanted to know (exact work they would do, amount it would cost, warranty offered), while the other supplier took a few more days to assemble the information. The Pro-Craft quote included removal of the existing roof, application of a new base+top layer, and the replacement of my gutter. The other supplier said it would be sufficient to simply put roofing on top of the existing material and also that my gutter was custom and would require a sheet metal specialist to fix it. Since Pro-Craft seemed to be a one-stop shop willing to do a more thorough job, I picked them. Once Chris arrived to do the work, he contacted his office and they told me that he would put the modified bitumen on top of the existing layer (they would reduce the price accordingly). Once Chris looked at the gutter, he told me he couldn't do the work himself, but that we needed a sheet metal specialist (they kindly referred me to the same specialist the other company had suggested). So, in the end, Pro-Craft did exactly what the other company said they would do. While I am perfectly happy with Pro-Craft's work, I almost wish I had gone with the other company to reward their more throrough quote process.
