Opening its doors in March of 2007, Strictly Dancing Ballroom Studio, Jackson's premier ballroom dance studio, has a promise to bringing the benefits and joys of ballroom dancing to the greater Jackson metro area.
The staff of Strictly Dancing Ballroom Studio is fully dedicated to helping you in the learning and enjoyment process of your desired or prescribed dance lessons.
With a combined total of more than thirty years of experience in dance and choreography, we are capable of teaching you the basics of all the ballroom and Latin dancing, including cha-cha, waltz, salsa, tango, foxtrot, swing, West Coast swing, East Coast swing, rumba, and many more.
We can also choreograph a unique dance routine for a performance or special occasion.

Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. All Dance Studios are not created equally. You need an instructor that is very familiar with the particular type of dance that you are interested in learning, that is patient and will to go through the steps until you feel comfortable with them, and creative enough to help you understand the things that may come natural to the dance instructor. When you find all that, you have a good dance studio; now all you need is to find the right dancing shoes. Most dance instructors will be able to point you to local or online businesses that sell the proper types of shoes to perform the selected dance you are learning.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Well the shoes make all the difference. Having the right pair of shoes is a little odd sounding but it's true. For the latin style dances both male and females typically require a show with a little heel to add to the spins and fast movement. It also helps in creating the "cuban motion" or the unique flair/swing of the hips popularized by many of the latin dance variations. Most classical ballroom dances like the Waltz and Foxtrot can be performed in any flat dress show due to more sliding and graceful flow of movement. Either your dance instructor or a dance shoes salesperson can assist you in finding the perfect shoe for your dance.
