I teach a wet-on-wet oil painting technique made popular by Bob Ross. I am a certified Bob Ross instructor in landscapes, seascapes, flowers and realistic animals. I have painted with international artists Gary Jenkins and Dana Jester.
I teach at Fayetteville Technical Community College through continuing education the Joy of Painting and Beauty of Flower Painting.
I also teach for several craft stores in Cary, Apex and Fayetteville, NC, and a private location in Carthage, NC. You will paint along with me as I demonstrate each painting. I will also lend a hand as needed and requested. I have been teaching the Bob Ross style since 1998, but my painting began in the 1970's in high school.
I have several paintings hanging overseas and around the United States. I can travel to you for private one-on-one lessons, or you can join me in a group setting.
The hourly rate listed is for private lessons. Classroom group fees begin at $35.00 and up for 4-6 hours.

I take classes from Kim at AC Moore stores in Apex and Cary. To spent part of a day with Kim and her wonderful sense of humor is an absolute delight. She takes us step by step in to the wonderful world of "Bob Ross" method of painting wet-on-wet canvas. Each class takes home a new method of learning.
She is very professional and most caring about her students. I have yet to take home a painting that I would throw away and my best hang in my husband's office and in my sister in law's home.
She goes out of her way to teach but in the same day, you have discovered that 'you can paint' and a new found friend "Kim Cowger".
AC Moore -- you are so lucky to have this lady on board !

Question and answer
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I was a student in a local Bob Ross style class before I became an teacher. I will not paint on your canvas unless you ask for my help. I am here to teach and guide you in learning this technique in a relaxed and fun environment.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love sharing my gift of art with others and watching the face of someone that has done their frist painting.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. I am asked can I really paint that. I reply yes you can. You do not need experience or be able to draw to learn to paint. All you need is the courage to pick up a paint brush and try it.
