Introduction: Welcome to CLA Reggio Kids. CLA Reggio Kids will provide a multicultural educational experience for the preschool child. As a half-day preschool, we embody the Reggio Emilia approach, considered the "World's Best Practice" by schools specialized in early childhood education worldwide. Our curriculum and structure is rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy of discovery and exploration, parent and community involvement, the teacher as collaborator and co-learner, the importance of the environment, and the various forms of language, expression of ideas, and project-based, arts-integrated learning. This method is recommended by many of the world's experts in childcare. At CLA Reggio Kids' multicultural preschool, we care for each child as a unique individual with unlimited potential for learning. Your preschool child will 1) have daily opportunities to connect with caring, competent, and patient teachers, 2) interact with various hands-on learning instruments and authentic objects, 3) sing, move, work and play with children representing the many cultures found within the Triangle and from the globe, 4) receive instruction in a second language, currently for 3 half-hour sessions per week. Mandarin Chinese is one language offered, with Spanish and French to become available as enrollment increases, and 5) have opportunity for outdoor educational experiences in the form of field trips to a nearby farm and community park. We accept kids at ages 2 to 6.
