Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Please provide as many details about your pet and the haircut and bathing services you require. Specifically, we need to know:
breed or closest resemblance
type of hair (long/short)
condition of skin and coat
shampoo needs
age and behavior
weight
type of haircut - shavedown, teddy bear, breed specific clip, etc.

Our pricing structure is based on many factors so the more information you can provide - the easier it is for us to provide an accurate price.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Do not wash your pet at home unless you brush him out first! If your pet has any matting (tangles) it will tighten up and cause mats that a Pet Stylist will need to shave out.

Also, unless you have a high quality shampoo, it is not necessary to wash your pet more than once a month. There are other products on the market to spot clean and remove odors.

Have you pursued certification?

A. At MDD, the service provided is unlike any in the area. We are highly professional and focus on our clients individual needs. We offer a non-assembly line approach. The spa is kennel free which allows the pet to play in a secure and safe area. Our Pet Stylists groom a minimum number of dogs a day and focus on the one-on-one, quality time with each client. Tara Pellegrino is Sporting Group Certified through the National Dog Groomers Association.

MDD Pet Sitting is both bonded and insured. We provide a theft-deterent look to your home whiile you are away and our Pet Sitters provide plenty of TLC!
