    Missy Corrales is over the top! Outstanding! At our first meeting to discuss the details Missy was completely thorough in describing the details of her work. This was such a breath of fresh air!     To get that result Missy uses top quality equipment, her designers eye for the right shot and very focused attention to details. All through the many hours she spent there was not one thing overlooked. The photos speak for her work loud and clear!

    Our experience with Missy was calming in a time of chaos, fun with her random, endless Mary Poppins' prop bag, and completely affordable. She was efficient, detail-oriented, needed no direction from an already busy bride and groom, and the end result got many a compliment. Missy even took the time to get to know us as a couple via a thoughtful questionnaire before the Big Day. Thank you Missy, I highly recommend you!

    I have had the pleasure of working with Missy for almost 10 years now. I have been her printer from my days at Ritz Camera to know as owner of French Broad Imaging. I have seen her blossum into the wounderful photographer she is today. She is a delight to work with and to work for and I hope you would take the time to get to know her, you will not be sorry.

    Missy was amazing to work with and so open-minded and creative to the ideas that Chip and I wanted. She really took our engagement pictures to the next level and made them art. Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I'm very down to earth and upbeat. So I tend to make my clients feel at ease pretty quickly. I always include you in ideas and suggestions on what You want. Before we meet I send a quesionaire which helps me get to know you, which is a tremendous help for me. I enjoy using props and special items that help lighten things up. I do ask that you are respectful of my time and arrive on time and are aware there is an added charge for working longer than contracted.
Any changes need to be made in a timely manner. And the most important thing is expect to come out and have a great experience and be prepared to receive photographs that you will cherish!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Being a photographer is alot of work! Its much more than just showing up and making pictures. After shooting an event our work has just begun. We have hours of work culling and processing your images and I always add my creative touch to every photo, which takes even more time. I always include extra touch ups in my price, which covers teeth whitening, blemish removals, etc. And when there are hundreds of photos to process that takes alot of time! I also have the not so fun paperwork, etc. So when hiring a photographer, keep that in mind.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I combine my photography with an artistic touch which makes each photo unlike any other. Just like every event and client is different. While editting the images I get a certain "feel" for how I will add special touches, effects and such to them with Photoshop or Lightroom.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I really enjoy meeting new people but most of all being a part of their special day or event and creating unforgettable images for them to cherish. There's no words to describe how wonderful it feels to get feedback from clients that are soo happy with the photographs when they receive them!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I've always carried my camera since I was a teenager and creating art in one form or another probably since birth.
In my 30's I became extremely ill and discovered Photoshop and once I was able to, I decided to combine my love of photography and art. After I started having shows, my work took off!! I've been lucky to be able to do what I love!!! I now have shows, sell my work world wide and do everything from weddings to commercial shoots.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. I think my greatest strength would be that I am a people person and can make people feel comfortable. I am often asked my fellow photographers how do I get people to let go so easily during a photo shoot. I love to make people laugh and make it very difficult for even shy people to not crack a smile. I'm a happy person and always think positive! Plus I love my job!
