Introduction: If you are more interested in portraits that are a reflection of who you truly are than you are in a bargain basement price, then you are the kind of customer I would love to work with. It is important to me that you enjoy your shoot and have a great product when we are finished. I love working with couples for romantic photos, special occasions, etc. I can do both studio, as well as more natural setting outside. I've had a lot of experience doing portraits on the beach, but would also like to use unique locations, such as gritty buildings, fields of flowers, gardens, and historical points of interest. It's a big PLUS if you're an adventurous person or couple, making your session fun and a great experience for both you and the photographer. I am also available for head shots, small family portrait sessions, graduation, proposals and engagements, real estate, and small weddings. I do not do boudoir or nude photography, or newborn. Looking like every other photographer is not my goal. Capturing my clients as they truly are, is. Having people relax and enjoy the shoot is important, whether they are fun-loving or more serious minded. Even serious people can relax and enjoy the session. When looking for a photographer, it is important to understand that taking the photos requires much less time than post production. Depending on the requirements for the shoot, each photo can take up to 30 minutes (sometimes more) to edit. So an hour-long shoot is often 2-3 days worth of editing. Please note, that the prices quoted in Thumbtack are estimates. Each shoot is different and prices may vary. Linda was excellent to work with! She made the entire process super easy. Her communication was great - always quick to respond leading up to the day of the pictures. She was early to the photo shoot and ready to go. She was great with our 2 year old and captured so many great moments of her on the beach. She had our pictures back so quickly, as we were eager to see them. We definitely weren’t disappointed! Despite it being very cold on the beach that day, the pictures turned out amazing! Linda knew what lighting was the best and allowed many different options for us to chose from. She had an a la carte option so we were able to chose what we wanted. I can’t wait to see our new family pictures hanging in our home! Thanks again, Linda! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and we will definitely use her again if we decide to get more pictures taken!

We absolutely loved working with Linda on our family photos! The process was seamless from the beginning. Linda was always very responsive and even sent some emails ahead of time helping with wardrobe decisions. The day of the shoot she was ready to roll and was an absolute saint with our two little guys who weren’t having the best of days. She managed to get them smiling and took advantage of even documenting some of our ‘less than perfect’ moments. The highlight for our 5 and 3 year olds was getting special treats from Ms Linda’s ‘special bag’ 😉. My younger son is still sleeping with the stuffed bunny she gave him. We were so happy with all the photos when she sent them to us to review. Her turn around time on getting us the photos was super fast as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Tides of Time Photography!!

Linda was amazing! She responded right away and was so kind and helpful and then went above and beyond even with my 4 year old taking a while to warm up. She somehow caught amazing photos of my family (even with my youngest not cooperating at first) on the beach that we will cherish forever! I highly highly recommend her for your photography needs! We cannot wait to use her again for future photos. You will not be disappointed with Tides if Time Photography. She even had a cute treasure box my children got to pick prizes from at the end. But honestly the photos and the hour session were so great! She is very good at her job!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My session fees vary from $125 - $175 per hour, depending on the distance I have to travel. Photos are additional and varies depending on what you are interested in purchasing. I will offer a discount on session fees for returning customers and military personnel.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask that the client please look at my website to make sure my style (branding) is what they are looking for. After agreeing on a date, I send my clients a questionnaire for them to fill out, so I can get a better idea of their needs and personalities. We discuss prices of packages, digitals, etc. Once scheduled, the date is secured by payment of the deposit (session fee). I also send wardrobe, hair and makeup ideas before the shoot. I would like to be fully prepared for the shoot and want my customers to feel fully prepared also.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had online photography classes for several years. I continued with my education by taking courses at Brunswick County Community College in Creative Photography. I have studied a wide variety of photography, including landscapes, wildlife, abstract, etc.
