CBCA (Carolina Beach Community Acupuncture) is created to provide inexpensive healthcare alternatives to the Carolina Beach and surrounding area community.

We believe that your health should be in your control, and by providing treatments on a sliding scale ranging between $20-$40 ($10 initial treatment fee for your first appointment), you have the opportunity to go into a treatment you can enjoy. Acupuncture has been practiced for over 4,000 years, and the results speak for themselves.

What makes Community Acupuncture different?

We treat in a community setting. Majority of acupuncturists in the US treat patients on tables in separate cubicles. However, in Asia, this is not traditional, where acupuncture often occurs in a community setting.

In our clinic, we mainly utilize recliners that are crowd together in groups in a huge, quiet and comforting space. Treating patients in a community setting has various benefits like a lot of patients find it calming; it's easy for friends and family members to come in together for treatment; and a shared energetic field becomes established, thereby actually making individual treatments more powerful.

In some acupuncture styles, the needles are taken out after only a few minutes or after a half hour at most. The acupuncture style we practice allows patients to keep the needles inserted for as long as they want, and the "correct" amount of time depends from one patient to another. Most individuals learn after a couple of treatments when they feel "done"; this can last from 20 minutes to several hours. Many people fall asleep and wake feeling refreshed.

We have a sliding scale. Also, most acupuncturists in the US see just one patient per hour and charge $65 to $175 per treatment. They tend to spend a long time talking with each and every patient, going over medical records and asking many questions.

We don't. The only way that we, at CBCA, can make acupuncture inexpensive and still make a living is to streamline our treatments by accommodating several patients per hour. So, we have returned to the conventional way; rather than asking you a lot of questions, we depend on pulse diagnosis to determine how to provide treatment for you.

This is precisely how acupuncture is traditionally practiced in Asia; a lot of patients every hour and very little talking.

    Dear CBCA,
You have saved my life. I would shout it from the highest mountain but we do not have any here on the Island. Two years ago I was on crutches facing surgery. Look at me now. One of my MD's suggested the path I am on. Acupuncture, yoga, exercise and pilates. He knew I did not want the knife or shots to keep going.
I visited Jeremy and with his help and some work on my part I am getting better each day.I rarely take OTC pain meds.

Thanks also to Jeremy who allows others to you his space to make a healthier Island offering yoga and massage.. On Mondays I visit the studio for Yoga with Lia. Lia, has helped my flexibility and spiritual well being. I also do pilates with Sophina at her studio.

If you have any ailments I strongly recommend that you visit CBCA.
It has been a year since I started on this path. Besides the physical help, I can get advice on diet and how foods effect me.
CBCA offers a wide variety of informational secessions which can be found on their web page.
