Very pleased! I had my entire crawl space revamped by Walt and his crew. First off, a new French drain that Walter dug himself! They filled in cracks in the bricks They removed all the old insulation, the old vapor barrier and installed a sump-pump. They worked very hard, Walter answered every single question: traded over 30 emails! The new insulation and vapor barrier went in and looks great! I could sleep down there if I wanted too. The mold has been addressed, the moisture too.......all in all I am very happy with what they did for me.This was a big job for me, and I was very nervous and concerned, but Walt always gave me confidence in what he was doing: always! They left the area's that they worked in clean, and free of debrisIt was a pleasure working with Walt, I would certainly employ him again if the need were to arise.

In August 2015 we had a mold problem at our rental property, a townhouse. I called Walt who came out assess the situation and recommend we replace the ducts in the crawlspace, spray in the crawlspace to clear up all the mold and replace some insulation. We also had a vapor barrier put in place to prevent moisture from building up in the crawlspace. We had all that done and paid a few thousand to do it otherwise out tenant wouldn't be able to stay. Fast forward to August 2016 our tenant calls us saying they have mold again!!??!I call Walt, he comes back out and one of the ducts, a short one, had not been replaced and it had mold in it. Walt didn't offer to fix this for free even though we paid for "all" the ducts to be replaced in 2015. We had to pay to have an air scrubber a second time and pay for the duct to be replaced. So much for his guarantee of workmanship or whatever he has on his quotes. So we had to pay another $500 because he or his contactor did a poor job the first time and had to help our tenant out with hotel expenses since they had to leave for a few days since the mold was affecting them.We'll see if we have any other issues in 2017.

We discovered a moldy odor in a closed off space in our basement. Walt Smith, owner of Raleigh Mold Inspection and Remediation came and with a visual inspection showed us black mold. On his recommendation he completed a thorough inspection including air and swab samples. By the end of the week we had Walt's report, the lab report from the air and swab samples, and his estimate. His estimate is very reasonable, we look forward to him making our home healthy and safe. He is a true professional and knows his business.This is not the first time we have used Raleigh Mold Inspection and Remediation. We were renting a home with black mold on the drywall of the basement which was remediated thoroughly in a timely fashion. We recommended Walt Smith to a friend who bought rentals needing mold inspection and remediation services, again completed successfully, quickly and priced reasonably.

We found a few bubbles on our wall in our kitchen in the townhome we recently purchased. It turned out to be the previous owners put a nail in the wall that poked a hole in the water pipe. Our home warranty covered the leak, but the leak had caused mold on the inside of our kitchen drywall and the home warranty did not cover that. Mold is my worst nightmare. I called Walt and he was able to come out the same day and give a price quote (very reasonable). He sent out Greg the next day to fix it. Walt and Greg were great to work with. They were both pleasant, honest, and did the job right. While Greg was fixing the mold I started panicking that there was mold in another place in our townhome because of a roof leak. I called Walt and he asked a few questions about it and let me know over the phone I didn't have to worry about that spot until I saw these other warning signs. This company really saved us, thank you so much!

We do all types of mold remeditaion. Crawl spaces Interior mold and water damage.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check and make sure they are certified. Do not hire someone that says bleach will do the job. It will just make the mold go dormant. When your get moisture again the mold will grow.
