Introduction: I am a graduate of Winthrop University with a BS education degree. I have a daughter (two-year-old) and am married. I'm living in Charlotte, NC. My work experience includes teaching students of all ages. I teach reading/math levels and have a further experience with at-risk students. I have most experience with students at risk of not completing his/her grade level due to lack of interest, not having appropriate modifications used in the classroom for individualized teaching, and impoverished home conditions (learning is affected by students' lack of proper nutrition, physical/emotional treatment at home, lack of resources at home such as Internet, books, etc. as well as many other disturbances). At-risk students need the extra help to ensure that there is a learning environment individualized for his/her needs based on what ever boundaries these students may encounter. I am passionate about teaching, modifying lessons, sparking prior knowledge, reflecting, assessing learning during and after teaching and, most importantly, ensuring that every single student has the opportunity to learn no matter what stands in his/her way. I will find the way for these students to succeed. I will care for these students and never leave them behind. If your child needs help in any subject, please contact me. I promise that your child will improve in the classroom (higher grades, understanding, and more motivation to learn). Schooling is so important to me because it opens doors in any direction a person wants to go in life. Through learning, the brain creates many more connections, intellectually grows, and thus ensures a future for your child; there's security in life in every way. I will travel to you.
