FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I can work with the client as to what pricing system works better. For most jobs, it would tend to be an hourly rate. Architectural work would be priced either by square footage or fixed price depending on the job. I can also do fixed prices for jobs, depending on what they are.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I will talk with the client to get a complete idea of what they are needing since it is very hard to tell the vast majority of the time what are truly needing from the job postings on the site. After that, I will see what they are starting with at the beginning of the projects. Some people have an idea while others have CAD files or drawings already started. Then we will talk about pricing and timeline. During the duration of the project, I will share progress to make sure that everything is going according to plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my CAD training in high school. I went to college for mechanical engineering technologies, where I also continued with my CAD training. When I left school I worked for several different companies across several different industries as an engineer and designer. In doing so I managed to gain experience in performance automotive, structural steel, manufacturing, piping, waste water treatment, machine design, plant layout, system layouts, P&IDs, electrical schematics, product design, architectural design and swimming pool design.
