DJ BossMan

Introduction: Josh Platt aka BossMan is a Florida native at 24 years old. He has made major moves in the EDM Charlotte scene. An Asheville Hip Hop DJ turned Charlotte premier Glitch Hop DJ and aspiring EDM producer, Josh got his first shot in Charlotte when he closed Gets F*cking Weird where he performed with Kyle Biddy, Boy Beats World, and Rob Banks. Since then, Josh has also performed at Drop !T where he preformed with DOM, DJ Frenzy, and Popeska. Josh constantly studies all forms of music theory and does not believe categorizing music in genres. When asked, why Glitch Hop? Josh replied: The beauty of Glitch Hop is that it is not a genre with specific rules or BPM. I like to consider Glitch Hop the type of music that incorporates unique sound effects like beat repeaters and sweeps. The tempo of the music doesn't really matter at all. The genre of Glitch is where it falls into because of this. When Hip Hop or Crunk samples are added with all these effects, the result is Glitch Hop! Needless to say, I think we all need to keep a look at for BossMan!
