Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I started doing work 18 years ago, custom painting homes in the Charlotte area and building furniture as a hobby. After repairing rotten wood on houses for years, I got more into renovating homes and learning other trades. For the last 12 years now, I have been doing all aspects of home building. I also enjoy helping a homeowner design and plan out a project to his/her ideas and to his/her satisfaction.

I recently hired Scott for help with completing the build on a custom desk. From the beginning he was extremely professional and put me at ease in terms of trusting someone on here for an important job. His rates were also very reasonable, which is always important. Because the surface of the desk was to be made with a solid 8 foot slab of unfinished walnut it was too large for me to transport with my own vehicle. I thought I was going to need to rent a truck to be able to get it home. Fortunately Scott was here to save the day. Not only was he able to meet with me at the place it was purchased (Lumber Liquidators in Matthews), but he took his time in explaining the logistics of exactly what his finishing process would be, and even went through the store / looked through photos to determine exactly what kind of finish I was wanting to achieve with the stain. He also took the time to go over the various ways he could sand the edges of the desk to make sure the corners and edges were as blunt or sharp as I wanted (a detail I had honestly never even thought about, but which actually made a big difference in the final product). Then he took the slab back to his home (where he has all sorts of cool equipment and supplies to work on projects) and got to work. Throughout the process he was in regular contact with both written and photo updates. He also took the right amount of time to complete this - he didn't rush the process, but was still very timely. When it was completed we set up a time for it to be delivered to my home. He was even kind enough to carry it up a long flight of stairs and to help get it set up with the rest of the desk! I plan to hire Scott for many additional projects in the coming months and continue to wholeheartedly recommend him to all of my friends and family. His skills are vast (he also has plenty of previous experience as a professional contractor as a full time job, so there is truly a ton of things he can do for you). When I had this work done he was in the process of building a ridiculously cool treehouse for his children! He is an honest, hard working guy, a family man, and a true artist when it comes to his passion for creation. Do not hesitate to hire this gentleman for any of your contracting needs. Truly a stand up and extremely talented guy!

Was looking for a handyman to construct a basketball hoop and replace a ceiling fan. Received a bid from Scott and am very happy I selected him. He was very easy to work with, timely and courteous. He completed both projects quickly and accurately. Scott was a pleasure to work with and would definitely hire again.
