Introduction: Fairytale Pursuits is a family-owned wedding planning firm in Wilmington, NC, available for travel worldwide. We love weddings, but our clients make us love weddings so much more. Our couples are our favorite thing about weddings. You and your love story are the exact reason why we do what we do. It's not a job, it's a passion. There's nothing like watching the look on a groom's face when he sees his bride for the first time. There's nothing like watching a bride tear up when she hears him say "I do." Seeing a couple so in love celebrating such a special moment in their lives is nothing short of incredible. Making that incredible moment come to life is what we do. That gorgeous love story is why. There's nothing more exciting than sitting down with a couple and talking about their vision. When we were planning our wedding, many of the details had already been thought out and completed. Nonetheless, we still needed to have the remaining details reviewed and executed, such as aisle and table decor and the itineraries. We were so glad to bring on board Like Mother, Like Daughter Events to assist us with these aspects of the wedding. Due to the large size of the bridal party as well as the wedding in general, it was such a relief to have the presence of LMLD's team to keep the group organized and help them with each of their responsibilities. They also coordinated with all of our other vendors and took tasks away from te Maid of Honor so that she could focus on the bride and enjoy the occasion herself. There was an incident at our wedding where, as a bride, I was thankful that the mother and daughte duo were there to comfort me and remedy the issue. Everything turned out alright, but sometimes a couple simply needs kind attention and that's exactly what Like Mother, Like Daughter provided. In addition to identifying and mitigating several day-of situations, LMLD was instrumental on rehearsal night and many late night requests during the planning as well. Thank you Like Mother, Like Daughter Events for all your efforts and attention to us and our guests!

I had a southern-chic-themed wedding on May 10, 2014. Like Mother, Like Daughter made the process of planning my wedding completely stress free and they came up with amazing ideas to make it a dream come true. When I talked about their ideas for my day my friends and family couldn't wait to see it. The staff at LMLD even designed my Save-The-Dates and took my engagement pictures, all of which I have gotten plenty of compliments about. They truly came up with everything to make my wedding a success. Knowing that I had them to help me with decisions and planning was extremely reassuring! I definitely recommend!

Hayley and Jenny are fantastic! They helped me with everything I needed for my wedding and more. They thought of things I didn't even know about and they're so creative. I was very happy with the wedding and they were definitely worth the money.

My venue required that I hire a day-of coordinator and I'm so glad I did. I wanted to find an affordable one with great reviews which is how I found Fairytale Pursuits. Hayley and her husband were so hard-working and efficient on the wedding day. They helped to make everything run the way that we wanted it to and made sure all of our needs were met. We got what we expected, efficiency and great quality. Leading up to the day, Hayley was great at communicating with me through email. Fairytale Pursuits was a great choice and I would recommend them to others.

We offer different wedding packages that range from wedding management to full planning. We also offer A la Carte services, so that we can cover every detail you need. Non-wedding events vary, depending on type and size of event, and amount of labor. A consultation meeting is usually the best way to decide on the correct package or quote for your particular event. The best part is: consultations are free! Just give us a call.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
We'll be as involved as you want us to be. You can hire us simply on a consulting basis to get ideas and opinions, to organize one particular part of your event, or to coordinate the entire thing including the big day itself. It's totally up to you, and we'll give you 100% of our efforts every time.
