FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
There are numerous types of fence installations Contain-A-Pet of Charlotte has done for our clients. From the smallest of yards to the largest of estates. Dual zones where the pet is goes only in certain areas only when the owner allows them. Fenced back yards where the dog has learned to escape over or under a conventional fence. Lake installations where the dog has a swimming area. Installing systems to keep the dogs out of flower beds or ornamental gardens. Keeping the pet out of certain rooms in the home.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently trained a new dog on an underground fence system in the Weddington area where the family already owned one Lab, and bought a new Lab puppy. We put up stake & string to show the dog where the boundaries are, and then trained the puppy as well as gave the new pet owners a refresher course on training. When we returned to do our follow up second training, we saw perfect results. While there, two neighbor dogs passed by the yard. The puppy ran towards the dogs, into the boundary, and immediately came back towards the house. The puppy sat at the edge of the boundary and watched the dogs walk down the road. This is classic behavior from a dog properly trained on an underground pet fence. We were very pleased with the results.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When searching for a electronic pet fence provider make sure you ask if they are professional dog trainers. Most companies do not even have one on staff. Check the containment guarantee. Contain-A-Pet of Charlotte offers a 1yr money back containment guarantee. Most of our competitors only offer a equipment refund within the first year and that is prorated.
