I am an animal lover by nature and have always had a pet in my life. Animals have always been my passion. As a young girl, my dad and I would always rescue stray cats and dogs, it was just the thing to do, second nature to me. Giving animals my love gives me much satisfaction.
We have a wonderful black lab named Gracie, a kitty named Max and a fancy mouse Louie. My pets are so precious to me that I would want them treated with much love by someone other than myself taking care of them. So, I would want to treat your pet just as you would, with love and kindness.
I had always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but instead, I became a registered nurse. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Iona College in New York, and have worked as a pediatric nurse since 1997.
My husband and I moved to Charlotte in 2007 from NYC, and I am enjoying this area more and more each day. Since my son was born in 2006, I have decided to work in a field that involves animals because I enjoy them so much.
I will treat your pet as if it were my own. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to allow me to come into your home and care for your precious pets. I so look forward to meeting you and your furry babies. Ruff ruff, meow meow.
Thank you.

I have had the pleasure of having Stephanie look after my dog. When Stephanie first came over to meet my dog, Molly, she immediately took to Stephanie. My dog can be nervous and shy, but Stephanie just got down on the floor and Molly felt so comfortable going right up to her. I was thrilled! Molly is so well taken care of. When I come home she is always happy, well fed, brushed and her food bowls and water bowl are always immaculate! It’s all the little details that make a difference for me!

“Thanks to Stephanie, I can leave on holiday without worrying about my elderly cat. I return to find her brushed and well-loved, and the food area and litter box area are cleaner then they were when I left it. Never before have I found such a kind and conscientious animal lover. I highly recommend Home is Where the Pet is!!”

Stephanie watched our dog when we went away for 12 days, and we came home to a happy and calm animal! She left us detailed notes about each visit and it was clear that she took very good care of him while we were gone. She also opened and closed our blinds every day and watered our plants. She is great, and we are looking forward to using her again!

A. Make sure that there are no hidden fees for added requests. All requested services should be in the cost that has been quoted. Check references and pay attention to how the pet sitter interacts with your pet. Watch your pet for any unusual behavior around the pet sitter. Most importantly, trust your instincts.
A. Love all pets as if they were your own. No job is too dirty or too small. Make sure that you meet the family and pet before the service date. You want to make sure that everyone, especially the pet, is comfortable. Lots of love and hugs and kisses. Important to know how to handle any emergencies or unexpected events that may come up. The pet needs to feel that you are there to care for them and give them what they need in the owner's absence.
A. How much is the set cost? Will my pet be taken care of appropriately? Will my pet get the individual personal attention he or she may need? Ask how the pet sitter would handle an emergency or an unexpected mishap. How much time will the pet sitter spend with your pet.
A. How much they are willing to spend. What they expect from their pet sitter. What needs their pet may have. Request references. Is this the best services that will work for you and your family.
A. I give it my heart and soul. My clients are so happy and satisfied with my services, it is clear to them that I truly care about their pet. Their pet is spoiled by me because they are special and treated with tons of love. I'm always told how calm their pet is when they come back home. The pet's demeanor and behavior speaks volumes to the clients. No job is too dirty or demeaning for me....I do it all and go above and beyond the call of duty. Also, all is included in the price...no hidden fees for extra services.
A. Knowing that I have made that pet happy brings me so much satisfaction. I love the unconditional love I receive from all of my furry babies.
A. Do you think my pet will be lonely at home versus bringing them to a kennel? My answer: Yes, they get a little lonely, which is very common because pets love human contact, however, pets do so much better staying in their home that is a familiar surrounding for them versus going to a kennel that is extremely frightening for them and causes lots of stress on them.
